Dive Into The Details of the 2018 Kia Rio Sedan and 5-Door
Now that we’ve seen what some of the people at NYAIS had to say, let’s learn a little bit more about everything the Rio has to offer.
Now in its fourth generation, you have a choice between a sedan or 5-door Rio model — and style comes standard on both. Clean-cut exterior lines create a sleek silhouette while the signature Kia “tiger-nose” grille make for an aggressive front-end. Lower, wider, and longer, the 2018 Kia Rio provides a more stabilized ride than ever before.
Inside, like @SBellasWays shows us above, the Rio offers high-quality features like the 7” touchscreen with UVO3 connectivity for an upscale vibe. With one of the most spacious cabins in its class, the sedan version has 89.9 cubic feet of passenger space while the hatchback boasts 90.5 cubic feet.
As for cargo space, the subcompact Rio doesn’t disappoint with 13.7 cubic feet of space in the sedan and 17.4 cubic feet in the hatchback. Need more space? Fold down the seats in the 5-door for 32.8 cubic feet of storage room.
Under the hood of the 2018 Kia Rio is a 1.6L GDI 4-cylinder engine that improves both responsiveness and fuel efficiency. With 130 horsepower and 119 lb.-ft. of torque, it also helps spice up your daily commute.
